What’s my background?
I’ve spent 25 years on bank trading floors in Asia, mostly in fixed income derivative trading roles. However, I did initially learn the ropes in the middle office.
Why the journal?
To hold myself accountable for my trade ideas and views on markets.
Rules for Trading:
-Never risk more than 1% of AUM on any trade
-Decide what level it should NOT trade if the narrative is correct
-Aim to have a 3:1 ratio to take profit

 

Gold is breaking out. Momentum trade.
Long 5 contracts June 24 Micro Gold future @ 2,278.8
Profit Target: 2,359.8
Stop Loss: 2,260

 

I guess you weren't trading the Asian session and
you are trading the European session.

Gold started to break out/move during today's Asian session
(after the holiday).
