I'm not even american, much less a republican(and if I were american, the only republican candidate that I would want to vote for today would be Rand Paul). But I do admire the concepts on which the U.S. were founded and that's why american politics interest me...
With that said, it is sad to see the situation today, where much like in countries like mine(Brazil), idiots believe in any socialist lies and help to slowly create the same problems that these other countries have...

  2. Americans complain about Trump using Twitter.

I think we can agree that Bolsonaro has run into a few problems using twitter too, eh?

Bolsonaro is an idiot. On the first turn, I voted for João Amoêdo, from the closest thing to a libertarian party here in Brazil... On the second turn, I voted for Bolsonaro for two reasons: Because the alternative was a raging communist from Lula's party(much like the situation between voting for Hillary or Trump) and because Bolsonaro said throughout the whole campaign that any economic matter would be left for Paulo Guedes, a guy trained in the Chicago School of Economics, and that wants to implement the very ideas that made the U.S. the great country that it was(and in some ways, still is). But, not surprisingly, Bolsonaro has more than once not done that and intervened in the economy, without consulting Guedes and boasting his idiocies on Twitter(that's why, despite Guedes, I voted for João Amoêdo in the first turn).

  4. the truth about libertarians is they have no solution for running a real country. they also stupid candidates, I spoke to this Roamer guy who runs and runs in my district and before he did the smart thing and ran off to to South America he filled forms out like this

'Describe an accomplishment that best illustrates your effectiveness as a leader.

My business is to help those who want to be self-employed get their business going. Or those who need the freedom a car gives into a car. Or if their bills have piled up, I get them on the right track, for proper spending, and into a better place. This can be applied to a government that just keeps spending money, and in actuality needs to be trimmed down, and begin to take cuts. Small business is what's needed in this state, not more government."

he worked in the loan finance office of a local Nissan dealership. I have worked as a loan officer in a bank near where this brainiac sometimes sent the poor victims of his 'professional advice'. Libertarianism does not work on the large scale and libertarians are often morons or assholes. Look at the leader getting into a fight with his neighbour over garden waste and losing. how embarrassing to have a party head unable to not indulge in tit-for-tat bickering.

Sorry, but this(especially this, but the whole post as well) just shows exactly what motivated me to open this thread in the first place... Some Americans today have their heads so far up their asses, that they can't even look back on their own history and see that small government and the mentality that resulted in the Constitution of the U.S., whose main goal was to restrict and keep government in check, was the one thing that differentiated their country from all the others on Earth and that because of that, they became the most powerful nation on the planet.
So it is not a matter of "having a solution". All one needs to do is look at the U.S. history(as always, Milton Friedman has a great take on this, when he compares government spending today with the past and how it only grew since the beginning of the U.S.) and see that what libertarians want is exactly that... What has already been done and that has proven results.

Another great example of what I talked about on my last post: I've recently been to Chicago and visited the School of Economics... There was a room there dedicated to Milton Friedman, Gary Becker and others from that school... It was almost empty because of spring break or something like that... While I was in there, reading and taking some pictures, two morons stopped at the door and took "selfies" showing their middle fingers towards the room and the pictures in it... And then just went away...
Nobody is forced to agree with those ideas, but the childish attitude of these idiots just shows how a great part of Americans think and are led to think today, even in one of the places that actually values or used to value what, in my opinion, are truly "american ideas"(freedom, personal responsibility, minimum government).

These are the people whose only arguing capability consists in shouting and/or ad hominems and these are the people that are electing politicians who are striving to turn the U.S. into the same thing that other countries are, not realizing that these fundamental differences between the U.S. and other countries are the very thing that made the U.S. become what it is(or was depending on how much damage one considers that has already been done in that sense)...

This analysis of American history is completely wrong.

The truth is American was a great superpower with great wealth and attainable success way before the so-called Chicago school of economics and Ronald Reagan. The fact is when Reagan took over he expanded government and decreased individual protections, while paying off the wealthy with massive tax breaks.

Reagan was the beginning of the decline of America.

America’s true rise to power and broad based prosperity was brought about under Franklin Roosevelt. Roosevelt built an incredible military (actually the beginnings of modern globalism conservatives exploited) and the new deal brought about workers rights to the securities of retirement and unionizing.

You, Mr. Neotrader need to study more.
