Democratic Party embraces nonreligious voters, criticizes 'religious liberty' in new resolution

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) passed a resolution Saturday praising the values of "religiously unaffiliated" Americans as the "largest religious group within the Democratic Party."

The resolution, which was unanimously passed at the DNC's summer meeting on Aug. 24 in San Francisco, Calif., was championed by the Secular Coalition of America, an organization that lobbies on behalf of atheists, agnostics, and humanists on public policy. The group celebrated the DNC's move as the first time a major party "embraced American nonbelievers."

I don't think you'd remember me as I don't even remember me! LOL. I joined around 2000 or 2001 and think I stopped posting somewhere between 2004 and 2007. When I found this site again, I tried to look up my old user name, but either couldn't find it, or I just go too old to remember it. I thought my username might have had something to do with a soft drink, but who knows.

But since your screen name is Tony Stark and Iron man came out in 2008, it's unlikely we would've spoken unless you have another name and posted in trading or economics as I never really spent much time in politics & religion as it used to be called, but I do remember it was toxic af as I'm seeing this community is as I slowly get sucked into it. LOL
