I've met a lot of young people that are taking this route. One factor they cite is the ability to buy health insurance without being employed. Although I think the ACA was a bad bill overall, it apparently has had at least one positive effect. I also think this is good for my side, because now these guys will see what it really takes to succeed. Now they will be the ones paying half of their employees SS, and if they have enough (too many?) employees, they will get to pay for their health ins.
"Do-it-yourself" is likely to piss off keynesians a bit, because Dr. Paul Krugman doesn't like his unconventional desires to be abhorred.
