Under its new leader, Ken Martin, the Democratic National Committee has been plagued by infighting and a drop in big donations, raising alarms from Democrats as they try to win back power.

  2. They don't need cash when Trumps approval ratings are net negative in 90% of polls, double digit negative in most.

Cool, send a letter to the NYT editors and let them know.

  4. They know,,but its thier business to write articles.

  5. Never good for a party to be low on cash if they spent a billion on their last candidate and she still lost. I am thinking they have more than just a cash problem.

Maybe they can get a loan from Stacy Abrams.

  6. In Gallups nearly 100 year history if the incumbent president had a negative approval rating the party has always lost,House and White House.Biden had a negative approval rating on Gallup in Nov 2024 and 2022,that was Democrats problem. The Republican Party will have that problem in 2026 and 2028 just as they did in 2018,2020,2008,2006 etc.Money has never overcome an incumbent president with a negative approval rating in House and White House elections.

  7. I don't know. I see a lot of negative approval ratings floating around for republicans but then I look at the dem negative approval ratings and they are even worse.

So there is that. Just because the republicans are taking hits does not mean things are groovy with the dems- because that is not the case. Regardless of the past. If pubs are down but dems are up, then yeh, there be a problem.

  8. Partys have won The White and House with negative party approval ratings many times, never when their incumbent president had a negative approval rating.Republican Party had a negative approval rating on Gallup in Nov 2024.As has always been the case in Gallup's nearly 100 year history the presidents negative approval rating outweighed it.

  9. Ill add that my analysis is the same whether I like a candidate or not.I hate Trump but knew he would win based largely on Biden's approval ratings
