Looks good. Ofcourse they'll put that big fat cheque in and the cashier will go " and thats gone(lost) anything else i can help you with."
...in spite of the downfalls of the dot com boom and the housing bubble... Greed is (still) Good. -- you just have to have great foresight as a trader.
Hope the movie is as good as the book. IMHO "the Big Short" is the best book Micheal Lewis has ever written.
Great Movie. Wasn't over the top like Wolf of Wall Street. A bit more on the serious side, with the perceived nutcases getting the last laugh. Great performances by Bale and Carell.
Here is a discussion of the movie. Non-traders keep complaining about the lingo, should satisfy the posters here.... https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/3y1wnh/official_discussion_the_big_short_spoilers/
Excellent movie, perfect cast. Breaking down the 4th wall was also a good device to explain the more intricate details of the story. I saw it with family and they got confused about the lingo only at the very end.
The Big Short...looks more like The Big Bust. Costs 28 million to make, but only brought in 5.5 million in box office revenue. (at the time of writing this) ...The Force Awakens by comparison has brought in 813 million so far. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Big_Short_(film)
It's too long now for people to care. A lot of the major players have faded into the shadows or not been able to follow through on the legacy they built. A lot of people who lost a lot of money then have made it back and more.
