You almost feel bad for Trump. Despite a suspected attempt at manipulating the market via twitter he didn't even make top 5.
It's pretty ridiculous to evaluate a president's performance based on the performance of the stock market. You could be the most business-friendly president in the history of the country, but then a 9/11 or Pearl Harbor, or Hitler marching into Poland happens and the markets are completely thrown for a loop. Conversely, you could be a complete dunce, yet get inaugurated during the darkest days of a recession, and the stock market may perform well solely because the business cycle had to turn, regardless of what you did. I think a far better measure of a president's performance would be what they promised on the campaign trail vs what they actually accomplished, and the overall prosperity of the country (i.e., how many Americans are sleeping on park benches today compared to when you took office?)
Ring a bell with anyone? Obama? My vote for best president goes to Lincoln, of course.... but next would be Andrew Jackson, who effectively dissolved the equivalent of the US Central Bank in his time. My worst 6 presidents include 5 Lefty-DemoCraps (Obama being the #1 worst with Woodrow Wilson & FDR running a close 2nd) plus GWB.
You do realize, that parties have shifted, Lincoln would be a Democrat/Progressive today, while conservative "religious" south became republican.
according to day traders, the best president is the one who has the highest cumulative day range over the period of this terms. Now who is that president?
