One QB is clearly better than the other and I will give you a hint. The better QB ain't RGIII.

If you watched the game yesterday, you saw a game that makes legends. That game will be talked about 30 years from now.

  2. No question Luck is the better QB this year. Last year, it was RGIII. Although Luck may be better overall in the long term, it's still too early to make that call.

  3. Is this a serious post?

RG3 was a better QB....Never. Not last year. Not in any year. Not even in pee wee football.

Luck was the "can't miss" #1 NFL draft pick when he was 17 years old. Scouts were raving about him before he could legally drive.

RG wasn't even recruited by his home state powerhouse U of Texas because they wanted him to play CB instead of QB. He ended up at Baylor because nobody else wanted him as a QB.

Let's be honest here. A "running" QB like RG3 is fun to watch and every once in a while makes a great highlight play, but you're delusional if you think it's "too early to make a call" about Luck and RG3.

That was decided when they were about 10 and has never once been in question.

  4. RGIII was absolutely a better QB last year. Check all the relevant stats. Not to mention he ran for over 800 yds.

    2012:

RGIII: 102.4 QB Rating, 4/1 TD to Int ratio, 65.6% completion percentage, 8.14 yds/attempt. 815 yds rushing, 6.8 yds/carry. 3 fumbles... Team made playoffs

    Andrew Luck: 74.7 QB rating, 1.27 TD/Int ratio, 54.1% completion percentage, 6.98 yds/attempt. 255 yds rushing, 4.1 yds/carry, 9 fumbles....Team made playoffs.

Like I said, last year RGIII played better and this year it's clearly Andrew Luck.

If you don't agree, please point out why, exactly, you think Luck had a better year last year than RGIII.

  5. put these 2 together and it still adds up to an argument over whose your favorite jock, never mind a good QB.:D

when his first target is open RG3 is the better QB to bad every other team in the NFL figured that out. If his main target is not open he hesitates and becomes a marshmellow. A running QB is great until they break him.

  7. True. NFL teams win when they have a QB who is a top-notch passer. A little scrambling ability is nice too, but not a requirement.

Has there ever been a "running" QB to have big success in the NFL? (No, Manning's ONE naked bootleg for TD doesn't count.)

  8. Going fwd he needs to get better at reading defenses no doubt. But he really should not have even played the first half of the season. Next year, he should come back healthy and focused and then we'll see if he's improved.

Agreed about the running QB thing, he cant take the kind of punishment he has otherwise his career will be short!

  9. Steve Young was as close as it gets IMO

  10. Sounds right, but didn't he suffer like a dozen concussions?
