Those voters will be barred from voting on Nov. 6 unless they re-submit updated applications with new signatures on them, according to the Secretary of State’s office, which will send affected voters the paperwork by mail. It must be resubmitted to the state within 10 days. Vote.org, a nonpartisan group, said it helped 2,400 Texans from Dallas, Bexar, Cameron and Travis counties submit voter registration applications that use digital photographs of their signatures. Officials from the Texas Secretary of State’s office argued that they rejected the applications because they did not include a handwritten signature, although lawyers for Vote.org insist that this isn't actually a requirement. The Express-News said that the election law itself is "not clear" as to whether a handwritten signature is necessary because it requires voter registration forms to be "submitted by personal delivery, by mail, or by telephonic facsimile machine" as well as "in writing and signed by the applicant."
Maybe they don't let the kids use ballpoint pens in those infant detention centers. Ever think of that?

If it isn't a requirement to have a hand written signature (I don't know why this would not be required, but nevertheless) then it shouldn't be rejected, pure and simple. On a side note, I will point out that just because I think the source of the article (Salon) is a worthless rag, I don't dismiss the content if it is factual. You might want to consider the same thought process the next time something is posted from ZH or a source you despise.
I don't take most Fringe sources seriously unless they break the story, which they did in this case. Zero hedge is a collection of blogs with no journalistic accountability. I'll read some of their opinion pieces if backed by sources, but stay away from conspiracy websites for the most part.
Shame, because they post facts that are sometimes irrefutable. But if you want an echo chamber, I suppose I understand.
