Texas is interesting. They have the lowest voter participation rate in the country (or there abouts). Yet, something has lit a fire in Texas. Now, I think all of this talk about early voting benefits democrats only is waaay overblown. Enthusiasm is pretty equally high on both sides and you can find places like Miami-Dade where Republicans are actually outnumbering democrats in early voting.
Whoever wins, it is nice to finally see people voting rather than the embarassing 50% participartion of eligible voters we often average over time...about time the other 50% woke up and realized voting is important.
The vast majority of early voters did so because of Covid. No one wants to stand in line with a bunch of people, masks or no masks. The the old cliche of Dems voting early doesn’t carry the same weight this election cycle. While I do think the Democrats have outnumbered Republicans in the early count, it’s marginal at best. My guess, election day numbers will be way down and heavily republican.
Joe Biden voters in Pennsylvania want to change their vote after hearing about his desire to completely, eliminate fracking. They are seeing if they can have the ballots they submitted destroyed and vote in person instead. If they allow it, that would be a lot of votes lost by Joe Biden in a swing state at that.
