Now that is a significant amount of sourced material from China ....seems like it will remain that way forever with the new tariffs in place giving not much pressure at all on any company to come back and manufacture in America. You would think there would be some major headlines of some well know big conglomerates that would be announcing new initiatives of making their way to the US and proudly start manufacturing there, but no way no fucking how are they coming to America. Every company is giving the fuck you salute and staying put as they will continue to manufacture in China and other parts of the world, never to step foot in America...... China Imperial examination China has been exporting things for thousands of years due to its good climate, strong focus on education (see their Imperial Examination), and hard-working / low-wage people. China will export even more things for the next thousand years. Soon, China will be exporting thousands of cheap but very powerful J10C fighter planes. Next Question. Will Tesla survive & continue to buy parts from China? Do note that China's BYD is the #1 EV car maker in the world.
You bring up Tesla, but there's not one US or EU vehicle manufacturer that can make it to the end of its production line without China made parts. China doesn't need tariffs, it can just halt part exports, pull up chairs, unscrew the baijiu and watch the game.
