Taxes

  1. Do the Obama supporters here think tax increases on corporations will help the economy right now? A yes or no answer followed by a logical statement would be much better than the expected carpet bombing on either candidate.

Is it really fair of you to ask for a logical statement from an Obama supporter, after given all his negatives (Ayers, Wright, tax increases, marxism, anti-capitalism, etc., etc.) are stilling willing to vote for him?

Maybe an emotional statement would be more resonable.

    Bingo!

  4. What if I don't feel it will have a positive or a negative effect, given that tax rates were already at the proposed levels in the high growth 90's, that Obama has proposed exempting small business which supplies 90% of the jobs, and in fact any reduction of the deficit can't hurt.

Not sure if that's a "yes" or a "no" or an "emotional comment."

  5. i THINK THE CURRENT TAX STRUCTURE SHOULD REMAIN AND THE PROPOSED STRUCTURE SHOULD BE EMPLACED FOR FISCAL 2009. oVER 2560, NET INCMOE, YOU PAY A MARGINALLY HIGER RATE.

The will be no net exempting. Their will be no 95% tax refund.
When the Democrats have filabuster proof congress they have no need to appease anyone on the right. Small business and tax refunds are only being used to win votes. These ideas do not fit the Democrats economic princples.

What will happen is tax increase's to the wealthy and mandated health insurance imposed on all business's.

Carter , Clinton made the same promise then "events" caused them to change

  7. Well your unsupported blanket statement certainly eliminates the need for thought.

Here, I'll counter with "Yes, there will."

So why even have reality when you can just make up some hypothetical future outcome.

If your not sure about the Democrats' stance, check the Tax Policy Center or its equivalent for a breakdown.

Obama said he would eliminate the Capital Gains Tax on small businesses and start-ups.

LOL, would somebody please call Obama and tell him that small busnesses don't pay Capital Gains Tax. They pay Income Tax. Hello!

  9. The fact is Bigdave replied very logically and look at all the emotional conservative replies. Amazing. You guys brainwash yourselves.

They could not possibly care less. Obama was asked about his plan to increase the cap gains tax. The question presupposed that increases bring in less revenue. Obama said that didn't matter because it was about "fairness" (his word, not mine). Rich people should pay more taxes even if it's less money for the government, even if it tanks the economy, even if it hurts everybody. It's class warfare, and it's not even hidden any more.

It's a lot like the dickwads shooting at the rescue `copters in New Orleans. And pretty much the same perps.
