TaskRabbit could be looking for an exit – by way of a sale
TaskRabbit, an early pioneer of the "gig economy" with backing from a number of notable Silicon Valley investors, is reportedly exploring a possible sale. The San Francisco startup launched in 2008 and has raised an estimated $38 million to date. Originally a marketplace for all sorts of “gig economy” jobs, the company now heavily pushes its home improvement tasks, where it has less competition. (San Francisco Business Times)
