The Tao Te Ching is the second most translated book in the world, next to the bible. It is not a religion, but more a spiritual philisophy grounded in ancient China, and world history. Its central principals, such as; present moment awareness, acceptance versus resistence, and the mitigation of fear and greed, can be very useful to traders seeking more consistency and market timing accuracy. Central to Taoism, is the understanding of devine beauty or order in the Universe, and that that order cannot be repealed by men or leaders, no matter how much they try. I have been trading with these principals as the foundation to my trades since last summer, and they have very much changed my life, maybe they can yours as well.
Taoism is a very interesting. I was interested in Eastern philisophy when I was younger. It is similar to the Yogic and Buddism traditions. All ancient stores of human wisdom and just as relevent today. Many successful traders talk about remaining detached from their feelings while trading to avoid the emotional weaknesses that cause traders to blunt their edge. All I can say is becareful or you want care about money at all and then you won't want to trade!!
cramer is the ultimate master. he transforms your euphoria into his cash flow. this is the ultimate yoga of trading
And yet... We have a bunch of people who confuse and mix up different ideals of Eastern Philosophy. Actually, it happens all the time... Example would be Japanese Shinto where they have gods that originated from Hindu, Buddhist and Taoist teachings. Also, the Taoist "god" Guan Yu, was a very strong Confuciust(Confusist?) Mobster. Taoism for trading??? He'll tell you not trade at all.
i think cramer may be the ultimate master. we take your money and our experience and turn it into our money and your experience emotions are very important. they shouldn't stand in the way of your trading plan.
There was something formless and perfect before the universe was born. It is serene. Empty. Solitary. Unchanging. Infinite. Eternally present. It is the mother of the universe. For lack of a better name, I call it the Tao. It flows through all things, inside and outside, and returns to the origin of all things. The Tao is great. The universe is great. Earth is great. Man is great. These are the four great powers. Man follows the earth. Earth follows the universe. The universe follows the Tao. The Tao follows only itself.
The I Ching has been used for more than 5000 years as an aid to making decisions, predicting the future, etc. So, if nothing else, it is a long-standing and popular source of wisdom and inspiration. www.cfcl.com/ching/
