I'm not sure what below actually means? Did they need to incorporate ML/AI into their research? Maybe Larry Tabb just wanted to retire. "Dramatic and profound changes in the research business have challenged the firm for the past several years. "
You are a bottomless pit of uninformed opinion. TABB offered a lot of value add, if not for the forums alone.

Welcome to our first newsletter since March 13, and I hope you will enjoy the ride ahead. I look forward to delivering a relaunched TabbFORUM that will capture your interest and make for some informative reading. My name is Michael Scotti, and I am the new editorial director at TabbFORUM. I have covered Wall Street for more than two decades. Our publishing hiatus, beginning in mid-March, stemmed from the COVID-19 pandemic. TABB Group has since regrouped with a new business strategy, and TabbFORUM is relaunching today. We think you will like what is in store. My goal as editor is straightforward: To build on what TabbFORUM has created and to bring fresh, new content that engages the reader. They say content is king, but there is only one boss, and that is you, the reader. My plan is to mix it up, keep things interesting with great content and new contributors with fresh ideas. Since the first day I covered the Street, there has never been a shortage of issues to cover. The foundation of TabbFORUM will continue. We will publish daily, with a fresh flow of curated news, video interviews, white papers, research reports, contributed articles and commentaries. Members will continue to be able to “feed the forum” and upload content on the site. So, feel free to get involved with the forum with your own ideas. It’s simple. You will also see new sections and subject matter experts offering their insights. I have already begun creating advisory boards to help our focus on key industry issues. More Research Providers And since TABB Group is no longer in the research business, we are already seeing more contributions from research providers. Partnership announcements are forthcoming, so stay tuned. TabbFORUM’s tagline has been “Where Capital Markets Speak.” That will continue, but with a twist. I will look to increase reader engagement, so more voices can be heard. In my career, I have seen the evolution of regulation and technology and their impact on market structure. Equities have been the blueprint for so many changes in other asset classes. We all know there will never be less technology or regulation. My experience dovetails nicely into TabbFOURM. I spent 11 years at Traders Magazine as editor. There we won a national journalism award in 2009 for a story on “flash orders” – remember those? I ran conferences at Institutional Investor’s TraderForum, where we dissected buyside trading practices. At DTCC, I was editor, leading coverage on market infrastructure and the trade processing of equities, fixed income and derivatives. Expanded Coverage TabbFORUM will continue to cover market structure, technology and regulation, with additional focus on wealth management, cybersecurity and crypto/digital assets. With TABB Group's move away from in-house research, founder Larry Tabb has moved his practice to Bloomberg. Larry will continue his groundbreaking work on market structure issues and remains both a trusted ally to TABB Group and contributor to TabbFORUM. I look forward to continue building on what has made TabbFORUM a daily must read over the last 10 years. The cornerstone is an interactive community of Wall Street professionals, sharing ideas and discussing the issues of the day, for the betterment of their careers, businesses, and the industry. I look forward to your feedback and interaction with TabbFORUM and keeping this newsletter an important part of your day. Stay well!
