I am using Portis as a wallet and last night I swapped ETH for SHIB - the fee (very high) was taken from my wallet in ETH and SHIN never showed up! I have posted this as a question to Portis but unsure who is responsible, other wallets had similar issues with no discernible resolution. So be warned, swapping is not ideal for pikers or cheapskates. I have checked in and it appears the swap was taken place...
I've had transactions stall when an exchange low-balled the gas but this transaction seems to have gone through. Please forgive the annoying question.... is that Uniswap contract pointed at a SHIB public wallet address?
Fees are very high on Ethereum which is why I've stayed away from trading on Uniswap and other dexes there Fees are very low on Binance Smart Chain the #1 dex there Pancakeswap, but Shiba Inu is not on there. Doge is, though You should delete the attachment. Your wallet address is there and people can snoop on all of your transactions
If it's the first time interacting with the contract, it takes two transactions. 1st to approve and then another to do the actual swap.
I am confused. I think I have approved it. They took the money out. When will I see the other side of the trade!
It's in your wallet. You have to add it as a custom token on Metamask, I don't know what wallet you're using copy and paste the Shiba Inu contract address and add as a custom token 0x95ad61b0a150d79219dcf64e1e6cc01f0b64c4ce You're a millionaire. You have 1,142,504 Shiba Inus
I am giving up on this clusterfuck. From now on I only invest in crypto derivatives for this space. No more stupid wallets, swaps, direct trading...back to silver and gold and maybe even crypto future.
Asymmetric information provides enormous opportunities The people who are able to get educated and gain necessary skills are the ones able to profit from these platforms you call "clusterfuck" I will say it again, Ethereum fees are extremely high right now which is why I have stayed away from defi which includes dexes on Ethereum
what you call asymmetric information is a big clusterfuck. My wallet is Portis, allegedly it supports SHI but I am still waiting for a resolution of what happens to my swap. If I could trade outside the US I might be inclined to play with some coins that are not available in the US but as things are this is too much distraction/frustration and BS. indirectly I own GBTC, I am looking to get some COIN and that is enough for me. PS welcome to snoop my wallet as it is not too fat and never will be.
