F*****. I will have my DL suspended for 3 months for speeding and it happens just after I have settled in a little village in a new country ( Switzerland ) and I need my car badly... The funny part is that I am actually a slow driver most of the time. But there was road work during the day and the speed limit was 40 km/h lower than usual at the damned place... I am really depressed today. Experiences?
Chill out, it's not the end of the world. Don't know about the laws over there.Get a lawyer. Maybe you can stay the conviction until court date. Then if you have to, pay the fine. Move on.
I will be in Switzerland in about 6 weeks. I will reach out to you when that time comes so we can meet up somewhere. I can't make your speeding tickets go away but I can assure you that I will do the best I can to get you drunk before I call a taxi for you.
Can you get a battery-powered, motor-assisted bicycle or can you legally operate a gasoline-powered, motor-assisted bicycle?
With great pleasure Baron. I live in the Lausanne area. There are a lot of beautiful places around to visit( Neuchâtel lake, Joux Lake, Gstaad, Zermatt a bit further ) and Lausanne has actually an active night life for a small city( 300000 ). I will find a train to come and meet...Same if you come to Geneva or Zurich. Switzerland is small.
I am not sure but perhaps I can rent a vespa. I had a vespa from age 14 to 18 in France. Public transportation is actually quite good in Swiss, but I live in a really small village so I have one train per hour to go to the city. It sucks...
Sounds good. I will be staying in a chalet in Gstaad, so I will definitely make the trip to Lausanne when the time comes.
Will you come here for hiking or something? Have you ever been in Gstaad in June? I was about to type "I can come pick you up"...LOL
