We are getting into a very dangerous territory. Fox is all but covered with Susan Rice info, not a word on CNN. So is it true or not??? If major channels start heavily distorting/omitting very important facts, it is a slippery slope. Let's see how this story will play our and which organization did a better job.
I agree. I find it troubling that the media on both sides are so invested in their side winning. I will note that this story was broken by Bloomberg, hardly a right wing source.

The irony could be that probably neither Rice nor Prince did anything wrong/illegal. But if one reads how these things get spinned, it is a Watergate.
For a "free America", we crucially need a diligent 4th estate to open the peoples' eyes with the truth and hold politicos accountable... not brainwash the citizenry.
This was a nothing story they had for some time yet chose to run it front page today as if it was some major scoop. Hmm, wonder why? First, it is based on nothing but anonymous sources, and Prince has already dismissed it as rubbish. Second, there is nothing illegal about a private US citizen meeting with a private Russian citizen, even if they are politically connected. Of course, they try to make it seem suspicious, but what do you think happens every day in international organizations, the Clinton Foundation, Davos etc? Third, even if it all transpired exactly as they claimed and the purpose was to establish a back channel to get Russia to back off supporting Iran, why is that a bad thing? Diplomacy is often conducted out of sight and through back channels.
