She is a mathematician and programmer:

Sunny is a full-time trader (42 years) who also published Traders' Catalog & Resource Guide (TC&RG) magazine for 8 years, beginning in 1993, she sponsors The Money Mentor on the Internet (since 1995), and was rated #1 trader in the under $10 million category by Stark Research, achieving 365% profit and 178% profit. Ms. Harris’s first book, Trading 101 — How to Trade Like a Pro, sold out in the first two weeks, and continues to be a financial best-seller. Her second book, Trading 102 — Getting Down to Business, was released in October 1998 and also has achieved record sales. In early 2000, Harris released Electronic Day Trading 101, addressing the basics of trading online and through direct access brokerage, followed by Getting Started in Trading in 2001, and TradeStation Made Easy! in 2011 (which won 1st place in the prestigious STAR Awards.) Sunny is now writing her 7th book: EasyLanguage Object-Oriented Programming Made Easy! due out in 2022.

As a highly driven, methodical stock and futures day trader, Sunny Harris didn’t survive the four major market crashes, she thrived through them.

A strong believer of technical analysis, back testing, and systematic trading, this vivacious Southern California trader and entrepreneur leveraged her background and skills as a mathematician and programmer to develop and refine her own trading system that she has come to rely on throughout her trading career.

Recently listened to the 'Chat With Traders' podcast where they interviewed her. Pretty good.

Second link in the first post.

  5. I also listened to that and thought it was pretty good, but, when I checked out her site she comes across as a vendor and that changed my mind.

Lol, are you aware those almost all those reported numbers are fake and that they cheated and conspired? There was a time in the 1990s and early 2000s when those so-called gurus popped up like mushroom after a rain. All self-promotion for book selling purposes. Some of them are elaborate schemes to scam people into believing they generated 100 or 200 or 300 percent.

They all are. And they exist because the number of gullible people is so incredibly large, and apparently there is always new supply of the naive...

Sorry I poked your fragile mind. Dies not change the facts, though. None of those individuals trade profitably else they would not be selling books, courses, and other swag.

  10. I saw the first video only. Interesting enough, but I have a couple reservations. First, she said she works 14 hours a day (as she approaches her mid-70s!), and marks and studies charts for hours a day, but also notes how accurate her dynamic MA and Sunny Bands are and how easy they are to use. That doesn't quite compute for me. Also, any reference to Fibonacci numbers just generally makes me cringe a bit.

As an aside, I have one of her books, I believe the first one. I bought it many years ago on a whim, but it is probably somewhere in storage, as it didn't make it to my bookshelf. I vaguely recall a cow and a blackboard on the cover. Really.
