    Subway ruling

Whatever Subway uses to encase its sandwich fillings, it ain't bread. That's according to no less an authority than the Irish Supreme Court, which ruled on the bread-or-not issue in a tax dispute. The court said the substance didn't even count as a staple food—which would have exempted it from sales tax—because it had five times the mandated sugar limit. Guardian

Yeah... 5x more sugar is needed to make the yoga mat chemicals taste better. :)

People eat processed crap "food" all day and wonder why they are having all kinds of diseases (cardiovascular problems, diabetes, cancer, Alzheimer, depression, brain fog, etc...)

They still do not see the HUGE connection between food and health.

Right... and if you lose your health, you've pretty much lost everything.

Reminds me of the Jaffa Cake case in the UK. The court had to decide if a Jaffa Cake was a cake or a biscuit. The are taxed at different rates apparently. Which says much more about the stupid maze of a tax system we have than it does about the food itself.

On that same subject, here is a rather disturbing Youtube video I found a couple of years ago:
