Is it possible to set a stop on a trendline?

I know you can get an alert when a trendline is touched or broken on Tradingview. Not sure about an actual stop while trading live.

You can if you're using IB through Ninjatrader, but idk about through their own platforms (haven't used them).

Pretty sure you can do that with Sierra Chart using custom code.

MultiCharts and I believe SierraChart as well allow you to do this. You basically create a rule for "trendline crossover" and when that is triggered your stop is executed.

stops what are they good for absolutely nuthin - yea yea say it again...say it again ...

most traders place stops at the most obvious places and so this is exactly the chop size of market movement.

and yes multicharts will trade on trendline.

Except when the shit literally blows up in your face...like what happened to me in the ES yesterday. And if it weren't for that stop, heck, who knows where I'd be today.
