Stocks & Commodities magazine published their annual Readers' Choice Awards with different nominations. Note that this voting was among Americans.
ThinkOrSwim is NOT a brokerage. It's a trading platform. The corresponding brokerage is TD Ameritrade. There is double-voting there. LOL
And Scottrade is now owned by TDA as well. I wonder if you were to sum up TDA, Scottrade, and TOS numbers if they would have beat IB.
%% True; unless they are like Lincoln Mercury-FORD?? Much difference, even if somewhat the same brands.
TD Ameritrade should've beaten IB. Its TOS platform is WAY better and they offer just as much products to trade as IB.
What are their routing options? What about selling order flow? What about advanced order types/their API?
I find it hard to believe that FXCM was first runner-up in FX trading when according to your text, "...Note that this voting was among Americans." They were banned from allowing US clients to use their FX service because they cheated and lied and whatnot? They are frauds? Why would Americans think so highly of them? And aren't they bankrupt now? Go-go-gadget accurate and unbiased ranking lists! *shrugs*
%% NOT a AMTD customer , have been; yes they disclose order flow, but they answer the phone fine. Frankly i never wanted a system/plan profitable based only on execution, Thanks; last i looked IBKR stock price outdid AMTD. NOT a stock tip or prediction.
They have ALL advanced order types and even more or different ones from IB, I find. They don't have API as they only have a scripting facility that allows you auto trading and indicators directly without having to connect to the platform and in easy high-level languages but with limited programming features. They have the same "smart" routing features similar to what IB has. I am not sure about order flow selling. As far as I know, all brokerages do it. Anybody who knows more about this is welcome to elaborate more on this.
