Stochastic Alert on Thinkorswim

Discussion in 'Trading Software' started by Captialmanagement, Mar 1, 2017.

  1. So I've been back testing on multiple forex markets, and i think i can get an edge on some using stochastics if i limit overbought to either 90 or 95 and oversold to 10 or even 5, to filter out noise so to speak.weather or not this is a viable strategy I still have to look into more.

The main issue is that since i am a college student, and i work part time, i cannot trade at my desk all day, and I want to setup an alter that will text me on my phone. since im using M15 or M30 periods i might only get a few signals a day if that

Anyway I've tried many times to setup custom alerts on TOS for the stochastic and unlike other studies, I have had no luck what so ever. I've looked all over online and I've only seen a few tutorials for MT4, but none for think or swim

If someone would help shed some light on how to setup of alerts based on K or D (close) crossing overbought or oversold on Thinkorswims platform it would really help.

    I really appreciate it

  3. %% Just keep in mind, Capital manage; any good trend can stay overbought [>>91+] for months+ months.......................................................................................I like moving averages more for a good trend; but seldom trade/invest anything , in ANWAY, that the broker could sell it @ all/margin call.
