Stephen Miller, President Trump’s senior adviser for policy and architect of the administration’s controversial travel ban, lives in a Washington, D.C. condominium apparently built in accordance with Islamic Sharia law. Miller made headlines after using the term “cosmopolitan” as a dog-whistle pejorative against CNN reporter Jim Acosta at a White House press briefing late last week. The Acosta-Miller exchange drew rebukes from some and praise from others. Miller is now reportedly being considered for the senior communications position in the Trump White House. The Washington Post recently brought attention to the fact that Miller lives in a $1 million luxury condo-which his dad paid for. However, a little-noticed report in the Washington City Paper from 2014 adds an interesting wrinkle to the Stephen Miller story. According to author Aaron Wiener, CityCenterDC was built by Qatari Diar, the real estate investment arm of the tiny Gulf Arab dictatorship led by Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. And, Wiener’s report notes, CityCenterDC was built to conform to the principles of Islamic law, or Sharia. According to the New York Times, this means no banks allowed at CityCenterDC–due to Sharia’s prohibition against charging interest–which happened to mesh nicely with the original developers’ vision anyway. Thus, Qatar’s $620 million investment came entirely in the form of equity rather than a loan. Establishments focused on selling alcohol were also a non-starter. When the rules were initially reported, right-wing blogs went apoplectic and the City Paper itself voiced concerns about how bars–a D.C. necessity–were considered haram by CityCenter’s development group. The furor eventually died down and questions about alcohol seem to have been answered by the presence of multiple dining establishments serving wine and cocktails. Still, Stephen Miller has been accused of being Islamophobic. According to CNN, he cut his political teeth while an undergrad at Duke University. There, he ran the “Terrorism Awareness Project,” described as an initiative intended to educate students about the rise of “Islamofascism”– a controversial term for hard-line political Islam or Islamism. In promotional materials for the project, Miller wrote: “Gripped by complacency and the omnipresent force of political correctness, our nation has failed to educate our youth about the holy war being waged against us and what needs to be done to defeat the Jihadists that are waging this war. American kids attend school in an educational system corrupted by the hard left. In this upside-down world, America is the villain and Jihadists the victims of our foreign policy. Instead of opening eyes, we are fastening blindfolds.” Strangely enough, Miller now lives in an apartment purportedly built in accord with Islamic principles and financed by Qatar–a state committed to Sharia law–where, in accordance with certain jurisprudential traditions, homosexuality is punishable by death and people are regularly flogged for alcohol consumption and “illicit sexual relations”. http://lawnewz.com/politics/stephen...parently-built-in-accordance-with-sharia-law/
We will let Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, running one of the most liberal Arab counties know that you think he is a dictator. Actually the country's firm Qatari Dari is one of the leading real estate developers worldwide. While you are at it why don't you ask Al-Jazeera if they believe that the Sheikh oppresses the press in his country.
People like Miller pay good money to be regularly flogged for illicit sexual relations. If you can't picture Miller asking if he should be punished as a naughty boy.. well perhaps your mind is just protecting itself. I think it is safe to say he got it cheap somehow and he does not give a damn about anything. His own family publicly compared him to Goebbels. He is Jewish and his family are also.. I think they are speaking from the heart. Goebbles liked his whip too. https://www.buzzfeed.com/ellievhall...bers-have-some?utm_term=.niZJMPZVo#.rfZ0lBDon
That Acosta exchanged was the worst display of premeditated outrage I've seen in politics in a few years. The reporter laughing behind Acosta displayed my exact feelings about the performance. It didn't help that it was obvious reporter bait.
Indeed, Trump hiring cartoonish sociopaths like Miller and others always reminds me of the theory from the movie Back to School. I recon this is where he got the idea. "if you want to look thin, you hang out with fat people". TBH it is all a bit surreal with Bernie Sanders, Ugly Betty Sanders, Jim Acosta and pedophile sweetheart deal maker, Trump's labor secretary pick, Alexander Acosta. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4337524/Acosta-questioned-deal-billionaire-pedophile.html Nothing funny there. Trump "gotta get bigger actors" like in the clip.
Stephen Miller cut a CNN twit's balls off. We know how much that must hurt you. That is the only reason you are interested in his condo. Along with the fear that Trump may elevate him just for the fun of pissing you off.
Cut balls off? how bad was your divorce man using language in that form? I know that seems a cheap shot in the dark but you want outrage so there you are. You can feel puffed up with hostility to me pressing your buttons (or never married, dick too small?) and get the endorphin rush of the day. You do not care about your country, you are here because of the little reward you get for thinking your hurting someone. There are sadists on both sides of the con/lib equation. I laugh at both of them. Steven Miller is a self-serving asshole sociopath. He is a scarecrow being used in desperation to distract. Many "liberals" are intolerable shrieking assholes also! What a surprise. I am a centerist by habit, a conservative by nature. I need a good reason to change from a stable course. I look with dismay at the extreme left and extreme right. "Disposed to preserve existing conditions, institutions, etc., or to restore traditional ones, and to limit change." I recognize that I am in the middle. I feel I have a duty to make sure the 90% are preserved and the crazy 5% "wacko" left and right are told to calm the F down. I'm not one who after being told one hundred times that pigshit is tasty chocolate ice cream says "Ok, I'll give the pigshit a try as it is a hot one today sir!" You know who else left the conservative party? Watch just the first minute of Trump in 1999 as he announces he is joining the Reform party. How time has changed us all. He is highly critical of the Cons and Dems for their extreme wings. Seems Trump and I agree on something, the "wacko" extremes of left and right are the gutter.
Wow. Thee protesteth a bit much, eh. Just because I said the Stephen Milller thing is not about condo's- it's about his publicly eviscerating a CNN pretty boy. You may want to go down to Rite-Aid and buy a big tube of BUTT-HURT-B-GONE. For external use only.
Your all right, yep Miller "eviscerated" Jim Acosta. Shakespeare could not have retorted better BTW. Maybe I'll use some BUTT-HURT-B-GONE to massage my prostate later. A happy prostate is a happy life (and wife). Perhaps that is how Miller relaxes to stay so calm and cool during press talks.
