Would love Bernie versus Trump. If Bernie won, I would not be happy, but could better handle the outcome better than some of my comrades. Especially the ones who would vote for Bernie. I would expect Trump to win, but if we are so weak that it does not happen, then so be it. Unfortunately, Bernie does not have the leadership skill or vision a Putin or XI has, leaving us with the worst possible outcome: An economic system that is not incentive based combined with weak leadership. One can expect “Fun” ideas to become reality, such as a trading tax. Bureaucracy will increase, reducing productivity and economic opportunity. There will likely be a massive flight of capital out of the United States causing a stock market implosion, rising interest rates, and a liquidity crisis making getting many consumer and business loans nearly impossible. Consumers and businesses will likely forgo most capital expenditures in this new and uncertain political environment further increasing our economic woes. A reduced economic base would make spendy social programs even more dangerous to US fiscal stability. A logical question would be for some might be: “Where will capital and entrepreneurial ability go”? We might see some countries, such as China ironically, create campaigns to attract talent looking for a new home, further leaving the US with diminished long term economic prospects. So I’ll tip my hat to the Socialists for fulfilling a century long goal and running a masterful campaign that included infiltrating our schools and media over the generations. Conversely, I’ll give the bird to those politicians and business leaders who allowed themselves to become corrupted, considered themselves special, and who put their interests above that of the American people to satisfy their exceptional greed. Another aspect that opened the door for the Socialists was our system was too successful in creating a high standard of living that Americans ended up taking it for granted and forgot the hard work necessary to maintain such a great, but inherently unstable system. Our system is looking like it only lasted a little more than 250 years, should the Socialists prevail. If Bernie becomes President, I hope those who are opposed to him and Socialism will still give Bernie a chance to implement his ideas in recognition of our electoral process and to have a smooth transition of power, for the voice of the people, even if it is effectively their last act in determining their own future leadership, is of greater import than even the vision of our Founding Fathers. Perhaps it wouldn’t be as bad as some fear: For visions of AOC might help keep us warm at night. Well played, well played.
As his first act as the presumed demoncrat nominee, Bernie promises to unite the country and heal the wounds of divisiveness. Oh snap! Fucked that up! https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7962355/Bernie-Sanders-snub-Donald-Trumps-State-Union.html
The first ad...what freedom and equality are they talking about that they don't have under our laws? Are they saying poor people don't have rights or freedom? That's stupid and if you believe that, you're stupid too. The 2nd ad I agree with the premise. Bernie is our countries worst nightmare. But the 2nd part of that ad where he talks about the rich paying their "fair share" of taxes. Ok...lets let the rich pay as much taxes as the poor. 0% Now it's fair, right? Socialists don't have any idea of what the word fair means.
