Staples opens coworking space
Staples isn’t just for office supplies or printing anymore. Three of the company's Massachusetts stores now include happy hour, retro music and mod seating -- that is, it's adding coworking spaces. Partnered with Boston-based Workbar, Staples's coworking spaces feature hip music, funky art and a putting green. The pivot comes in response to years of staggering in-store sales and closures. This year, the company plans to shut down more than 70 of its locations. (Entrepreneur)

 

Saying that you are working out of a staples office sounds depressing.

 

Geez I can do all that in my house.

 

Yea but work just got 100x easier, now you can just hit the easy button and voila, done.

 

Maybe Walmart should do this too. At least someone greets you as you enter there.

 

What do you think will happen to big box stores locations, co-working space is one solution.

 

Not to mention entire shopping malls.
