I've recently spent some time in Kentucky, Tennessee, South Dakota, Illinois, New York, Texas, and Oklahoma...I was shocked at the number of over-weight people in the states in comparison to Canada or France. In fact, there were fast food restaurants everywhere. My son and I ate at a German restaurant in South Dakota...I was a little shocked at the portion of food...enough food to feed 4 - 5 people. We had them bag the remaining food because we couldn't eat it all. It took several days to eat the remainder of that meal. In contrast, most in the restaurant ate as if they had a gun to their head or that their life depended upon eating everything that was served to them...eating it all before leaving the restaurant. It really didn't matter the state...overeating is a problem in the United States. Heck, I was visiting a friend that has a small ranch with horses in Kentucky. I will not forget seeing him put small baby chickens run loose in the same area with the horses... The horses started eating the baby chickens as if the baby chickens were apples... the creepiest thing I've seen happen on a ranch next to the actual manual breeding process of horses.
