what do you think of the strategy?

  1. (without the calls) this is a good Port Folio

  1. Hi all, I am Silvan, 31 years old from Switzerland and I have a backtested swing trading(ST) strategy that I am not afraid of sharing since it only works in bull markets, and I want some advice on. I do this more as a hobby since I am working full time. Also I am currently searching for bearish to neutral strats but that is another story. Let's talk about this (bullish) one.

    Strategy:
Technical: at least 10% below 55 daily EMA. Bullish or sideways pattern (Double Bottoms, Flags, etc.)
scaling in for 0.25% at support level (double bottom level or round number f.e.)
up to .5% at support level -.5% or round number below.
Fundamental: either personal picks with good social sentiment or stocks that Warren Buffet would buy (moat given, EPS expectations, Cash Flow expactations, yada yada)

If you have any critiscism, that will help me or tipps, that you could give, please, I am willing to learn. I appreciate every constructive comment.

Sell your longs. Practice on demo till you triple acc 3 times.

Woops, i mean - till you triple* 300% returns in other words. (once, not 3 times)
Have at least 1000 trades and at least 1 year of activity (at the very least 1 hour per day)

Was speaking with someone else, got distracted, made a mistake.

    Good Luck SW.

  5. Thank you. I kinda meet your criteria then: I started with 5k 2 years ago, am at 11k. Most of my performance (10-15% of my trades) got lost with options with which you well said I am unfamiliar with.

I am going to focus on sideways to bearish in the next 3 months.

  6. It’s good to ask other people for suggestions but when it is about making decisions, they have to be completely yours. Try out different options until you find the one for you.
