    Hello Together

I have been looking for a program that compares the chart of the SPX from 2008 (crash) to today.

I would like to see if there are deviations, etc..

Does anyone have a program or screenshot for this?
    Best thanks & good business

Best I could come with is horizontally in separate windows (because of time axis they wouldn't line up in same window) one on top of the other 2022 and 2008 below. There is some similarity although in 2008 attempt at getting through resistance failed in early May, coincidently this week back then. While this year's failure was back in late March.

So so far this year $SPX has been making lower lows and with the high for the year back on Jan 4th safe might on the same path as '08 to finish lower.

  4. Hi, I took a look at the daily correlation between 2008 and 2022. I used a rolling 21-day correlation as this corresponds with the average number of days in a trading month. The correlation was calculated based on the daily return of the index (CLOSE to CLOSE). The highest correlation I found was between the period starting Aug 30, 2007 for the 2008 data and the period starting Sept 3, 2021 for the 2022 data. The chart below shows the values over the full time period (150 days). Average correlation is 10.3% so positive but not by much. If you would like a copy of the spreadsheet DM me and I can send it to you.
