SPX Challenge: Winner takes all, $5 / a pop.

  1. ok, let's have a trading challenge: the goal of the game is to guess where the SPX cash index would be closed at the end of this year (4:00 PM ET Dec 31, 2016). Whose ever guess is closest to the closing price on the last day of the year, then he/she will win the pot. Everyone chips in $5 bucks for the pot. If you got it right, then the pot is yours. If there're two players whose guesses are equally close to the end year price (in term of absolute value), then we'd have a playoff, then the two players will predict the closing price of SPX index for the third Friday of Jan 2017 (F1/20/2017).
(For example, if Mr. A predicted SPX would be closed at 2100 on Dec 31, 2016, and Mr. B predicted 2120, and SPX is closed at 2115, then both Mr. A & B would go to the next round playoff in January 2017).

[yeah, I'm going to take your $5, and run for Mexico, then you could pay-pal your money to Mr. Baron (founder of ET)].

  3. I hate losing, regardless of the dollar amount. -- and I don't play or take bets that I'm not confident in. ...
...Predicting the longer term future ...is, one of them, :)

    2350.

Losers should pay 5$ x 0.1 the difference.
    If you're 50Pts away you give 5$.

Time frame is too long, makes it boring. On Trade2win they run this game but the weekly version, that makes it interesting, not to mention you could follow the frequent winners' guess and make some money...

Baron should run a similar game with small prizes just to spice things up...
