  1. Has anyone tried the system from the eBook "Get-5K-monthly-income-using-put-option-spreads" by Dave Sidwell? How did it work for you? If it was good, are you willing to share it with me through my email? Thanks for your inputs.

It is so incredibly sad that some people are seriously falling for crap like this. That dude cannot spell a single sentence in his ads correctly, I feel very bad for that poor Filipina he lured out of her country only to provide her with a shittier life she ever had before. How anyone can take this trash in the slightest serious is beyond my comprehension. It is a sad reflection of the pressure many Americans seem to feel to keep pace with that neighbor or to justify their existence to their spouses or family members. In no other country has money become such an obsession and god that it literally drives people insane. Beyond stupid.

Have not read the book or tried the system. But I can tell you without hesitation that any popular system will not work very well for us small retail options traders. Option trading is essentially a zero sum (or negative sum) game meaning for you to make money, your counter party will have to lose money and after commission and slippage (bid/ask spread), neither will make money on average.

To be consistently profitable, most likely your system will work against conventional wisdoms, or if you are a professional trader, you profit from small differences between large trades that net significant profit due to large absolute dollar amount.

There is no get rich quick scheme but if you are still interested, read up on books that teach you the fundamentals of options, option pricing and general option strategies. For example the book by Larry McMillan: "Options As A Strategic Investment" is a good start.

Personally I find option trading and investing very challenging but also rewarding and worth the trouble. Even after 4 1/2 years, I am still a novice and hardly scratching the surface of a very complicated system.

    Best wishes and good luck.
