Tesla was tanking on the close. But just before the close it was churning. As soon as Tesla closed at 4:00 - 172.92, it tanked and was at 171.75 at approx 4:05. Can't find any news. It was like X was waiting to tank it after the close. Any explanation for who/why? Only thing I can think of is that options closed at the bell - stock still trades but options don't. Tesla is slowly coming up now - 172.42.
I posted the above quote on January 3rd along with the chart you see below. Look how much you could have made. And you would also have avoided the recent plunge. Here's what I wrote: "It may retest the neckline at 200-ish, but there will be a lot of shorts waiting to jump on board and pummel this baby down. Be careful once it reaches up to 200."
What's been working for you? How those TSLA options been? If you ever feel like postin any charts for anything and reason, right here...with these for TSLA. That goes for all y'all... https://www.elitetrader.com/et/thre...t-right-here-baby.343012/page-43#post-5776440
If you are doing swing trading/investor, you shouldn't be watching the chart continuously for the whole day. If you are doing day trading, you should be happy and laughing all the way to the bank. Since you used the word 'tank', you are an investor.
Perhaps tank was the wrong term. But within a second of the close TSLA was down like .50 I do do a lot of screen watching and I haven't seen that before. True not a big move but unusual that within a second of the close TSLA was down .50. For the record at 15:55 I did 30 March 17 180 TSLA calls at 3:45. I am in the hole now. But nothing like the hole I was in during the morning. Had 30 March 10 185 TSLA calls and by the grace of God got out at 9:47.
Are we looking at the same TSLA? I don't do options or shorts but when I traded it for about 18 months, my sell was almost always 5+ over entry. I'm puzzled re your anxiety with cents variations considering the volumes traded.
