Hello LW. I'm not an elite trader. I study recurring patterns, fractals and some other things. Lately I've been drawing my own sparklines. There aren't many threads here on this topic. I thought there might be more people drawing them on this site. There are some very interesting sparklines to be found, if you know where to look. I've been doing my own T/A for about 30 years.
Did you crack any magical market codes, yet, or gain any insights, wisdoms, advantages, Alot of these older trader types become rather deranged and have tunnel vision. Like old ladies at casino slot machines doing the same thing over and over again determined to hit the jackpot somehow. Or old men determined to win large, finally, at blackjack or roulette.
Hi Mickey, I'v been drawing sparklines for just a couple weeks. Just on one stock, for now. The one I'm working on is coming out pretty cool. There are logos and cartoons out there all over the place. I've been doing some work on the Dow charts and some on the S&P. I like the sparklines on the candles because they tell a different story.
I'm not sure what I've unlocked. I've been away from trading for a number of years. I have some extra time on my hands now. So, I pulled out the old toolbox.
Would you care to elaborate on how you found sparkline charts tell a different story on candles? A couple of years ago I experimented with sparkline on googlesheets/googlefinance data but could only produce line charts, but must admit I hit a brick wall making sparkline bar charts because I didn't exactly try that hard. I make a simple type heatmap and find that more advantageous.
