Man, I'd love to do this. LE BOURGET, France (AFP) - The European Space Agency (ESA) on Tuesday called for applications for one of the most demanding human experiments in space history: a simulated trip to Mars in which six "astronauts" will spend 17 months in an isolation tank on Earth. more... http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20070619/sc_afp/spacemarseurope;_ylt=AmjI2tvlbZaMdgu396BRh.wDW7oF
That doesn't sound like so much fun. Mind you, it would be a damn site better than actually going to mars. "A once in a lifetime adventure!" I'd be comforted by the thought, people don't actually explosively decompress in space, (read it somewhere) they just sort of snap freeze, resulting in massive arterial rupture.
Naw, the infighting, backstabbing and bitching would keep you occupied. I guess you'd know people better than you'd want to after that time.
