Let's just assume for now the OP is not a troll like the snake oil scammers whose first post is "does anyone know anything about Shill Securities? I heard they had a great training program?" The $PLC is a scam run by a wacko named Morris Dees. He had the brilliant idea to scam rich jews of money by inflating the "threat" from the KKK. They chased down elderly Klansmen and tormented them and managed to use lawsuits to seize some properties. His constant threats that the KKK were on the move and coming to get the jews did convince his gullible audience to send him tens of millions of bucks. Since pretty much the only remaining klansmen are undercover FBI agents, they needed a new angle and the alt-right provided it. Now they label any group to the right of Maxine Waters "hate" and have conned silicon valley monopolists to use their labels to censor conservative voices. They have labeled numerous responsible conservative groups and authors as "hate groups" because they oppose illegal immigration, muslim immigration, radical muslim practices, etc. When you see them cited, you know whoever is citing them is either dishonest or ignorant, probably both.
Let me provide my thoughts on the SPLC. When the SPLC first started it was strictly focused on organizations such as the KKK that can legitimately be defined as hate groups. The SPLC took some reasonable and noble legal actions against a number of these violent hate entities. However in recent years the SPLC has drifted from its roots after adding activists to its staff who believe that any organization or person they disagree with including immigration PACs and peaceful anti-radical Muslim activists are "hate groups". The SPLC took this a step further by naming individuals as "hate groups" (rather than groups) on their website; immediately turning peaceful people into targets for violence. By focusing on promoting a list of "hate groups" in the media in which they improperly mix actual hate groups with peaceful entities -- rather than pursuing legal action against legitimate purveyors of hate, the SPLC has lost its path. The current SPLC has become so disconnected from realistic assertions regarding hate that the organization itself can now only be defined as a "hate group" -- urging attacks on peaceful organizations and people. At this point the SPLC has stepped beyond the bounds where reform is possible; the only possible cure is one of the innocent targets of their hate campaigns suing the SPLC out of existence - something the organization has previously experienced only from the other side of the court aisle.
I honestly didn't know anything about them until I saw that video and am hoping for constructive information.
