Sorry, you can't get tested for CV because we are busy testing tigers.

    Two things:

    1. There are different tests, some cheaper than others. The ones people can't get are the expensive good ones.

    2. Honestly, spending a few tests to make sure rare animals (kinds that will go extinct if it kills enough of them) might be worth it. Especially if it verifies it's transmittable from humans to animals which means there are entirely new vectors we wouldnt be aware of.

Animal groups that can be infected with the same virus as humans are called reservoirs. It was possibly a bat reservoir that started this whole shit, coming from a wet market or lab almost doesn't matter. It is important to know which breeds they are, because we could get REINFECTED from those groups.

It is entirely possible that we will need a vaccine for cats too! Imagine that the virus could keep coming back not from China or from terrorist but from your kitty...

Not to mention tigers are hip nowadays since The Tiger King.

  5. Don't you think it's important to know whether or not we can transfer it to animals who would then be likely to transfer it back to humans?

I care more about those f***ing tigers than some of the poor excuses for humanity that I saw at Costco the other day. Despite being locked in a f***ing cage for the rest of their lives, at least the tigers have enough self respect to exercise, maintain a healthy weight, and groom themselves.

Already explained in post #4. Also Detroit is going to open a wet market soon and tiger meat might be available...

  9. Sure you not confusing Costco with Walmart?

  10. Zoo keepers need to be aware if they're dealing with an animal that can give them Coronavirus so they don't get it and bring it to Costco.
