  1. I'm a suicidal failure, I've got to get some help
I have suicidal tendencies but I can't kill myself
I'm tired of this way of life, my patience has expried
I'm barely just 20 but my life I will retire
I went down to a rifle store, I bought myself a gun
I point it at my head but I couldn't get the job done
I'm a suicidal failure, I've got to get some help
I have suicidal tendencies but I can't kill myself
I took all my mother's sleeping pills
I jumped off a freeway bridge
I drank three kinds of poison
And drove my car off a ridge
I beat myself with a bat
Put a noose around my head
    I overdosed on heroin
    But I'm still not dead

Whether it's going good or not so good, life is precious and worth the struggle. Those who feel the need to end their lives only have one problem, and that's simply that life is not going the way they expected it to and they feel helpless.

An Indian Mystic was once asked this question by a loyal follower: "What is the definition of success in life? "

He thought for a second and then said: "Being able to walk through hell joyfully."

It took me a while to think that one through but then I got it. When people do what you want them to do and life is working out the way you thought it would, you're happy. And when those around you aren't doing what you thought they would, and life is going in the opposite direction you thought it would, you're miserable.

The problem with that is that your happiness is tied to the actions of everybody else and the outcomes of situations that are beyond your control. But the real question is, how often will everybody around you do what you want them to do? Virtually never. And when will life stop throwing unexpected challenges at you? The answer to that as we have all experienced is a big NEVER as well.

So what the Mystic was saying is that when you stop tying your happiness to the outside world, and you come to the point when you realize that nobody in your life is going to act the way you want them to all the time, you drop all the lofty expectations you had, and come to an understanding that your happiness needs to come from within yourself regardless of how everything on the outside is going.

And that's when you begin to do the most important thing a person can do, which is work on yourself. You start reading books you enjoy. You start learning some of the creative activities you've always wanted to learn. You spend more time outside in nature. You start being of service to others in ways you never have before. And once you begin to live life that way, all of a sudden the so-called "problems" of life that were so impactful or devastating before seem to no longer affect you at all in the way they used to.

Amen bro. People have no idea the power within them. They allow their lives to be formed around other peoples thoughts. Social media on it's many levels, the arbiters of the narratives down through the tribes formed by the unquestioned acceptance, is the most destructive thing ever visited on humanity. A point of control by the few over the many.
Perfect examples right here on ET. The merry go round people that form the politics forum. Everyday they get on the merry go round, exit where they the entered and start again the next day. People so upset that others in the world have different opinions that they start a thread re: closing it down, lol. Do something with your lives you half wits, the world is never going to make you happy.
