Does this mean I can't tell nwm how boring and childish his sarcasm is? It's not a personal attack, just an attack on his lousy approach to conversation.
You’re mistaking satire for mockery because you’re used to interpreting everything at a shallow level. If someone close to you, say a woman you cared about, found her pregnancy turned into a criminal matter, maybe then you’d understand. I don’t hold out much hope, but for people who lack empathy, personal experience tends to be the only teacher. Satire cuts deeper. It’s a scalpel, not a sledgehammer. It’s used by people who are done wasting time being polite to nonsense.
I guess I have always had enough power, I never understand why shitheads like these "Christians" think they are doing good works. Spiritual social climbing. People who are unsure of their own goodness often latch onto rigid moral codes. Policing women becomes a shortcut to feeling virtuous without doing any of the hard inner work. Fear. Status anxiety. A hunger to matter in a changing world?
