It is not going to be investigated because it obviously leaked by a democrat. Its a fund raising ploy.

Although if this does turn out to be the case, the meltdown that the left is going to have is going to be epic.

  2. regardless... the leaking of a draft SC opinion is a serious matter and should be investigated. Whoever did it had a political nefarious motive and should be fired and outed.

  3. Because this is a new issue, I am not sure whether cyberhacking is a possibility.

I think Politico may have gotten a hard copy from someone, but that does not rule out the possibility that that copy was obtained through hacking.

I don't know. I need to hear the pundits grind away for a bit to see what the theories are. So far I do not rule anyone out- certainly not the Justices lib or conservative. I mean, I do not rule out there having to be subjected to the same level of scrutiny.

What a hit on the law clerks too. Unless they find the culprit it casts a shadow over all of them that may not play out well come job time.

Politico may try to cover for their source too by saying that although the source will of course remain anonymous that the material had inadvertently been left at a restaurant and was found by someone who blah, blah, blah.

Forget the cyber hacking stuff. What was leaked was photocopied and rushed photocopied at that. You can tell because the pages are slightly off.

Why is this so shocking? In today's partisan world, there are spies, snakes and people of low moral character throughout all levels of the government.

When you create a society where criminals don't go to jail, criminals become bolder.

I’m not shocked at all this was leaked but not because of the bogus reasons you state. I’m not shocked because this would be society altering ruling. This ruling, if held, would subject women to the rule of the state and completely alter the application of the constitution. I get many people will shrug it off but it would be a society altering decision. It’s difficult to understate the impact this will have.

  9. Oh poo.

It does not prevent abortions at all. It merely shifts it to the states. In other words, abortion would be legal in all states except maybe three or less where it would bump up against their state constitutions.

For years, there have been many pro-abortion people who have argued that they felt safer having it decided at the states as well since it is legal in most states already. Their fear was that a conservative court would do the reverse of what the libs did and find some fake reasoning why the constitution itself says that it is not a states right and it is not allowed by the constitution. Then they would be really screwed.

In any case, sabotaging the supreme court and disagreeing with a decision are two different matters. And yes, the lefties are going to be livid. That's fine.
