"Slow Computer" audio alert running Rithmic...

Never experienced this before.

A number of times recently my computer has had an audio alert, "slow computer"... running Rithmic. Lasts only moments at a time, but still.

The CPU usage isn't taxed, neither is the % of RAM.

Dell T5810 workstation, W10, E5-1620 v3, 8GB RAM

I wonder if it could be the RAM speed... or the video card not being able to keep up.. ??

Any thoughts.

 

What % of the CPU is Rithmic using?

 

3-4%, with an occasional bump to 8.

 

Has nothing to do with the speed of your computer

1) Go to your Rithmic trading platform
2) Click Windows
3) Click Sounds
4) Click Yellow LED indicating slow computer and change to none


This happens when the trading activity gets crazy and has nothing to do with your PC - I have a top shelf PC would be more than able to handle almost anything short of NASA data analysis

 

Do you get slow computer alerts also?

 

YES but no longer after I did what I advised you to do in my message

 

Well then... if you're getting the same, I won't be concerned about my run-of-the-mill workstation. (The alert isn't an annoyance I'm looking to silence, per-se... just wondering whether my rig is "not up to the task", is all.)
