When former Trump campaign attorney Sidney Powell filed her much-hyped “Kraken” lawsuit seeking to decertify Georgia’s presidential election results, the conspiracy theory-laden, error-riddled complaint quickly became the object of mockery online. A majority of legal observers criticized the filing for containing a multitude of typos, sloppy formatting, and a dozen references to the late Hugo Chavez, but the lawsuit also included an altered exhibit of significance: a document from Georgia’s Secretary of State Office regarding the certification of Dominion Voting Systems’ voting machines. The complaint, filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, claimed that Dominion was “founded by foreign oligarchs and dictators to ensure computerized ballot-stuffing and vote manipulation to whatever level was needed to make certain Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez never lost another election.” Powell alleged that Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, both Republicans, “rushed through the purchase of Dominion voting machines and software in 2019 for the 2020 Presidential Election,” declaring that “a certificate from the Secretary of State was awarded to Dominion Voting Systems but is undated.” The complaint also attached a copy of the supposedly undated certificate, stating, “See attached hereto Exh. 5, copy Certification for Dominion Voting Systems from Secretary of State,” though the certificate was actually filed as “Exhibit 6” on the court’s docket. If the Dominion certification page included in Powell’s exhibit appears oddly shaped, as though the bottom quarter of the page were chopped off, that’s because it was. Viewing the full document, which still appears on the Secretary’s website, It’s easy to see why that bottom quarter of the document would have been problematic to Powell’s claims, as it reads, in part: “I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of my office, at the Capitol, in the City of Atlanta, this 9th day of August, in the year of our Lord Two Thousand and Nineteen […].” https://lawandcrime.com/2020-electi...as-certification-of-dominion-voting-machines/
As previously reported by Law&Crime, Haller describes herself as a former White House liaison who previously “organized events including at Trump International Hotel.” She appears to currently work in the Department of Housing and Urban Development. However, she was named in a report which raised concerns about her treatment of an Iranian-American at the State Department. “That’s not good,” wrote Houston-based appellate attorney Raffi Melkonian. “I’ve been poo-pooing the risk of sanctions, but altering a document to make it seem like something else is squarely in sanctionable territory.” Bye bye now.
Sidney Powell is Demented to file these type of fabricated and altered documents in a court case. There needs to be significant legal consequences for a lawyer acting in this manner. Sidney Powell says that the certification of voting machines was undated — but she cropped out the date https://www.rawstory.com/2020/12/si...nes-was-undated-but-she-cropped-out-the-date/ President Donald Trump’s former lawyer Sidney Powell has struck again. Another of her legal filings neglected the proper research to justify the allegations. In a suit she filed in Michigan Monday, Powell cited “more than 100 percent of the votes” that she said President-elect Joe Biden got in Edison County, Michigan. Someone can’t get more than 100 percent of the vote. Also, there’s no Edison County in Michigan. Now, Powell is being mocked for a filing in Georgia in which she alleges that the certification by the state to use Dominion Voting Systems wasn’t dated. As it turns out, the date was simply cut off and Powell didn’t look to confirm her allegation. As Reuters reporter Brad Heath pointed out, the filing shows one version of the document while the online documents show another. Heath, who’s been following the filings closely, explained that it isn’t the top 10 worst things in the Powell filing, but it certainly isn’t a good look. While Powell is no longer on the Trump legal team, Trump has tweeted his approval for her work and her lawsuits.
And we have our very threads here on how "law and order" isn't a dog whistle. That there white privilege
again.......crickets from the Trumpets and GOP that this supposed massive fraud out there and the best and brightest legal minds that step forward for Trump alter documents submitted to court and make up counties in Michigan. If the ABA does nothing in this scenerio then they should be disbarred themselves.
How many people now has Sidney Powell included in lawsuits without their permission. There were multiple people in Georgia who also have come forward stating they did not agree to be included in the suit.
Sidney Powell's "Spyder" turns out to be some failed IT hack sitting in his mother's basement. Sidney Powell's secret source who used the pseudonym 'Spider' and identified himself as a military intelligence expert in her evidence-free election fraud lawsuits is actually an IT consultant, report says https://www.businessinsider.com/sid...e-spider-is-actually-an-it-consultant-2020-12 The "former military intelligence official" who is cited under the anonymous name "Spider" in Sidney Powell's election lawsuits reportedly has no intelligence expertise and is an IT consultant, according to a Washington Post report. Joshua Merritt, a 43-year-old information technology consultant, confirmed his identity as "Spider" to the Post. He acknowledged that being cited as an expert was misleading. The anonymous source named "Spider" or "Spyder" who was cited as a former military intelligence official in several of Sidney Powell's election lawsuit is actually an IT consultant without expertise in military intelligence, according to a Washington Post report. Spider confirmed his identity as Joshua Merritt, a 43-year-old information technology consultant, to The Post. Powell was kicked off President Donald Trump's campaign legal team in November but has sought her own lawsuits in Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, and Arizona trying to overturn the election results, Business Insider previously reported. Her lawsuits make unsubstantiated claims about election fraud, and her cases in all four states have been dismissed by judges. In the lawsuits, Merritt claims to have worked for the 305th Military Intelligence Battalion, based in Arizona. He also alleges that public data on server traffic shows that voting systems were "certainly compromised by rogue actors, such as Iran and China." However, while Merritt is an Army veteran who was enrolled in training with the 305th Military Intelligence Battalion, he never completed an entry-level training course, The Post reported. "He kept washing out of courses," Meredith Mingledorff, a spokeswoman for the US Army Intelligence Center of Excellence told The Post. "He's not an intelligence analyst." On Friday, Powell told The Post: "I cannot confirm that Joshua Merritt is even Spider. Strongly encourage you not to print." She added, about his description as an intelligence analyst: "If we made a mistake, we will correct it." Merritt told The Post that he was a trainee with the 30th Battalion for seven months over 15 years ago. He acknowledged that his description as an expert in the lawsuits was misleading but blamed "clerks" for Powell's legal team for writing that he was an expert not a student. "That was one thing I was trying to backtrack on," he told The Post. "My original paperwork that I sent in didn't say that." Additionally, the separation papers he provided to The Post did not mention any intelligence training. Merritt spent most of his time as a wheeled vehicle mechanic while in the Army. Merritt told The Post that he's removing himself from Powell's cases and moving away with his family after his name had circulated. Powell's legal team had asked the judge in the Wisconsin case to keep Spider's identity sealed if they move forward to an evidentiary hearing.
