I think it mostly means that the mega-multi-national companies are defeating and swallowing up their competition. Probably due in large part because of globalism plus the crony capitalism that most countires practice.
the consequences of crony capitalism is a worthy thread in itself. one can ask is crony capitalism the step before an economy evolves unto statism or socialism or chaos or is it some dastardly combination to be known piezoeism.
I was watching one of those shows on msnbc, and the token conservative used the word "fascism" and the whole rest of the left wing panel laughed
I guess you could say increasingly, I am becoming an anarchist. Meaning, I don't want the "corporation" controlling government, but I also don't want the "people" controlling government. I just want the government to be the referee
Just saw an ad for a Stallone and De Niro boxing movie. Lack of innovation isn't just in business. Where are the big new action stars? The big TV shows? Arena bands? Everything is suffering from lack of innovation, other than tiny internet companies with funny names.
INVENTION FIRST THEN INNOVATION AND GENERALIZATION ALL TOGETHER CAN = TECHNOLOGICAL REVOLUTION OF WHICH I BELIEVE THERE HAVE BEEN THREE SINCE MAS//MENOS 1800 LAST ONE KICKED IN AROUND 1943 AND HAS FADED -- MORE RECENT ITC TOO LIMITED SHIFT TO PRACTICAL FUSION MIGHT DO IT BUT MIGHT NOT BE POSSIBLE WITHIN LATE CAPITALISM
only thing feedin capitalism is increase in population. innovations enable more human species. I think this is on reversal as not many people see future in eating GM food, pollution of air, sound, view and shrinking space. not much left to run...
Shrinking space?? Who told you that lie? Do you know that you can put the entire planet in a small country like Yugoslavia, and still get a density of population like New York City? Please, stop believing freaking TV and mainstream media.
