    Circular on the Release of the Rules on the Registration and Recognition of Deliverable Aluminum Oxide of the Shanghai Futures Exchange

    To better manage the deliverable products of aluminum oxide futures, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) formulated the Rules on the Registration and Recognition of Deliverable Aluminum Oxide of the Shanghai Futures Exchange (the “Rules”) in accordance with the General Exchange Rules of the Shanghai Futures Exchange and other applicable implementation rules. The Rules are hereby released and should take effect as of this date of release.
    Appendix: 1 Rules on the Registration and Registration of Deliverable Aluminum Oxide of the Shanghai Futures Exchange

    2. Can foreigners trade Al Oxide from Shanghai Futures Exchange?

    3. Which Brokers provide this product?

    As far as I knew, it's not directly open to foreigners yet, unless the foreigners set up local entities in China, like some trading firms in China.

    For China local traders, all brokerage firms provide this product.

    And it's useful for aluminum traders around the world to have this reference of AlO futures price in China market. Aluminium Oxide (shfe.com.cn)

    Indeed there are many foreign companies got seats in China exchanges. And to set up a China local trading firm to trade all futures/options is a cheaper solution as applying for exchange membership could be more expensive.

    Wow, did not know about these. This will be a great tool for hedging the supply chain for the industrial light bulb factory we just bought in Taiwan.
