    So this will be the zerohedge-II channel?

    You can’t stop innovation. Europe tries to some extend, but won’t work

    Average weather in Goodyear, AZ (for those who can't read, this is the "average"). So my question: why the fu*k would you build a massive server farm out in the desert, of all places? It should have been built in Alaska. :banghead:

    I love how so many people have fallen into the trap of extrapolating AI into these doomsday scenarios - while acting like it's some amazing brand new phenomenon. It's like when we rebranded storage servers on the internet as "the cloud" and it took on all this new mysteriousness. We've had adaptive coding for decades.

    Elon Musk predicts AI will run out of electricity in 2025?

    That asshole was barely alive when the Time magazine covers of the 1970s shocked the world with the predictions of the incoming ice age.

    Ergo, don't listen to that gaping bore-hole.

    His accomplishments with the private rockets are fine and good. But one good thing does not negate many bad things.

    Yea there were lots of predictions on those covers of magazines back in the day....and if he is right will see surging electricity costs that are already high to begin with. But knowing it's musks prediction it's probably less than 1% from happening!
    I know people who pay for electricity and natural gas in an average size home paying 400-600 a month. Some paying close to a $1000!
    Of course in this world you are very very limited to jumping to other companies when it comes to heating and lighting your house.

    Hey we could still be on the verge of an ice age. That would really throw off these global warming protesters...

    LOL so much for global warming, they tried that after the global cooling theory was so obviously wrong .Glad to see a cool cycle heading in to summer.
    A lot of that depends on region, wonder what ultra regulated CA is ??
    Plenty of way to super insulate a home;
    but more than a few home contractors skipped [wrongly] the insulation.
    Nothing behind the sheetrock where the insulation is supposed to be .:caution::caution:
