Hi everyone, I've recently come across this forum. I am a daytrader/scalper in the UK and we have limited availability in terms of platforms that offer pre market, after hours, acceptable and up to date pricing reflective of charting etc.

I started using Tradezero (paid subscription for zeropro) about 2 months ago as it seemed the best option but it has been extremely frustrating. I can't believe the audacity to charge $59 per month for a software that is littered with so many bugs and issues. I am in contact with customer support online almost daily, over the last 30 days of trading, I have encountered an issue every day.

Support staff just seem to be able to apologise and offer no resolution and after losing 1000s due to many problems (execution delay, missing orders, disappearing orders, lagging charts, connection problems, loss of connection and software errors dail) I have come to my wit's end. Are there any other brokers/platforms in the UK for daytrading anyone can recommend?

  3. I agree with def's posting. Interactive Brokers is definitely worth a closer look.

Tradezero Def either needs to hire more professional coders reduce their platform fees or commissions. I can fill an encyclopedia on the number of issues I encountered since using their platform costing me thousands of dollars. And they keep adding unnecessary shit that clogs the charts, level 2 or only creates more bugs.

I am not a fan of ibs uninituitive software and I detest the fact they make you use a sms code with each login.

I've not found an alternative since I live in Canada and we don't have much to offer other than those crappy expensive bank brokers.

  5. 2FA is optional. Furthermore, various 2FA methods are available.

I think it's mandatory for IB canada.

  7. 2FA - I use IBKEY facial recognition - works so smooth. Best 2FA and security that I use by far over any of my other brokerage accounts which use either SMS, a third party authenticator or email.

  8. Not sure about IB CA, but https://ibkr.com/faq?id=30115331 says opt-out for everything except accessing Client Portal is possible unless you're a customer of IB IN or IB HK. Another article says that if you have the US Penny Stocks trading permission an opt-out will revoke that permission unless you setup an IP restriction.

Not that I would recommend anyone to disable 2FA. I personally use the IB app with Face ID.
