Here is a thought. Every day whoever wants to will make a prediction on what the SP500 is going to do the next day. I'll record everyone's prediction each day, and then compute how many % off they were from what the SP500 actually did each day. That way, we'll have a rolling total of who is the best picker of SP500 index prices over time. That person will be known as the TRUE Elite Trader, the best of the best, the cream of the crop, the master of disaster, the grand kemosabe, el patron del patrons, and nerd-in-chief of this website. At least when it comes to SP500 pricing. You will literally be a GAWD among men. I don't want to make it any more complicated than that, don't have a ton of time to spare. I'll keep the spreadsheet and can send it to whoever from time to time if they want a copy as well. Who is in if I start this up????
OK, this will be the Monday 2/29/2021 predictions thread. I've got people in as follows thus far: Overnight predicting 3500 Trader Curt at 3826 Akhaldanos at 3866 Ann Rand at 3887 Saltynuts at 3894 I'll keep editing this thread as others post or adjust their targets. When should I cut off people being able to make predictions? Like, when does the pre-market open up Sunday night or Monday morning? Has to close down before any pre-market trading. Don't want people cheating and looking at the pre-market action. We really will find the messiah among us....
Results will be measured by percentages off from S and P 500 close. So if a 3850 is predicted, and the S and P closes at 3800, the percentage off will be 3850 - 3800 / 3800 or 1.3158% off. If a 3750 is predicted and on the same S and P close the percentage off will be 3750 - 3800 / 3800 or the same 1.3158% off. I'll keep a running daily total for all. That sound right to everyone?
