I have traded for almost ten years, but only three years on trading forex. Mainly focus on USD/JPY,GOLD,EUO/USD,AND GBP/USD. I keep wining about 800USD every month in the pass two years, now I felt boring, each time, when I try to enlarge my position,I will lost,Shall I change or stay the same.?
Grow the position / size you trade slowly so it's not such a shock, but hell no, making $$$'s so few do, so no changing anything.
Does not make sense. Something just does not add up. Trading is not binary so if one size makes money consistently month in month out it should work if you increase your size. You are not trading any thinly traded instruments but forex! I trade thinly traded options and even there I can scale my position easily and the only thing stopping me is I do not want to trade lot size that is inconsistent with my overall account size. But my profits are lumpy and not like your consistently making $800USD every month, month in month out.
If he's doubling / tripling his lot sizes then the loss side gets kinda scarey so might be that. Or standard after O.P.M. ofcourse!
Hello, 1. Never change a working system 2. 800.-, u should be happy with that and if youre bored u can buy some leveraged k.o's or something like this with your earnings..
Try other pairs, mix it up. Personaly, I like fast movers EURAUD (evil twin of aussi), GBPAUD, EURNZD, GBPNZD, EURJPY and GBPJPY. Might have a try on exotics like USDNOK or EURNOK. Do you track your trades in some kind of journal? Like ironchef said it should work the same with larger size.
%% One or 2 things that dont add up.Havent looked @ gold lately, but i like good trends ;sometimes a traders guts will cause panic selling if he trades too big.I would not increase my size for sure if i felt bored; but i haven't looked @ a gold chart lately.Hope this helps , wisdom is profitable to direct.
that is true, for me may be it is because the size and my mind, when the position is large according to my account amount I just can not keep the constant strategy like smaller ones, that is the point it is hard for me to catch a big gain when I have a successful hit in one big position, otherwise, It works in a small position.
no, as I backtrack my trading, I feel that the reason for me it the big position I make usually it is tough for me to let it go when it is a right position.
