There are hundreds of exchanges in this world.

If Chinese companies can't be listed in US exchanges, they will probably go to
Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan .... exchanges.

Then US pension funds and college endowments might invest in these
chinese companies through HK, Sgp .... exchanges.
So this loop hole has to be plugged.

but why US can't ban US pension funds and college endowments from investing
in Chinese companies listed in US exchanges?

I don't think big firms such as BABA, BIDU want to delist from USA. It is up to China to change the rule and allow these companies to disclose their financial data to foreign regulatory agencies.

Every Chinese company that did a reverse merger with a shell company already listed on US exchanges is a fraud. There were 300 of them. Watch this, not sure if it is on Netflix, prime or KODI fully loaded.

  5. That should be the exchanges responsibility to vet a company before listing.

The US shouldn't tell me or a pension fund where/who/what country I can't invest in. I remember all the hullabaloo when Japan was buying real estate in the US and our politicians were freaking out. I forget who said it best but - 'let them, it's great for America and they can't take the land back to Japan'. Here's a case, huge fees, taxes, job creation, income generation and so on - all to go offshore because of the need for a politician to create an enemy to rally against.

On my playlist on Netflix Canada. I’m guessing that trailer is a little dramatic with the music and all haha.

  7. Bill was passed with UNANIMOUS consent. Wow. I don't like the smell of this. It seems U.S and China are headed for a conflict. I hope it's limited to business/technology competition, not military conflict.
