Looks like this will be the week on that and I gotta say..

If this is another 5-4 decision then supreme court will be solidified, in my mind,
as a joke of an institution.

Forget Roberts, I would hope at least a couple of the libs vote in trump favor.

Congress has no right to conduct a personal fishing expedition, that goes for the president,
you, me, political and religious groups, etc..

    They don't enforce the law.

As for the manhattan DA thing, thats a bit trickier but records would have
to remain private anyway in that case.

Congressional oversight of the executive branch is a critical part of the United States federal government’s system of checks and balances.

    I. Oversight Processes

Congressional oversight of the executive branch has existed since the earliest days of the United States Congress.[3] Major processes related to congressional oversight include the investigative, impeachment, confirmation, appropriations, authorization, and budget
    processes.

    A. Investigative Process

The Supreme Court has held that the power to investigate is implied in the Constitution’s vesting of legislative powers in Congress.[4] In furtherance of these powers, Congress may compel the disclosure of documents or require the attendance and testimony of witnesses at hearings through the issuance of subpoenas.[5] Failure to comply with a valid subpoena or the provision of false statements to Congress may result in criminal liability.[6] Investigatory hearings and reports published in conjunction with such hearings may receive extensive media attention and result in resignations, firings, or impeachment proceedings.[7]

  9. President conducted a fishing expedition on Hunter Biden in Ukraine asking their President for assistance in looking into it....

SO SC can ask Congress for the president to hand over finances and make sure there are no Russian financial ties....just to make sure there are no conflict of interests and such.

As for the DA, if they find anything questionable to pursue it becomes public as a charge so we will find out eventually...
