Hi everyone I am wanting to try out the scalping part of stock trading as my next challenge/foray in the trading world. So far, the most trouble I'm having is setting up a screener that will give me the following: 1) % Price change in the last 5 mins 2) Including premarket data, as a lot of these stocks make big moves in premarket 3) Relatively high refresh rate, for example 1 min 4) Possibly customizable audio alerts for stocks that are moving up, meeting the criteria so I don't need to stare attentively at the screen for hours on end I have been trying to do this in the TradingView stock screeners. I am able to set up the price change % column without issue, but the problem is that the stocks only update at market open, 9:30am EST! No premarket action is shown on the screener, and there is no option to include premarket in TradingView screeners (from what I see). There is an option for "Extended hours" in that is in their list of default screeners, but you cannot modify anything on it, and they only show you Pre-market change %, which is useless to me. Looking at the screener at 7:30am this morning, the only stocks on there were stocks that had gone up (sorted by change % descending) were stocks that went up in the last minute of the regular session (3:55-4:00pm) I've also tried Finviz, which don't seem to let you modify their "Change %" column with any time frame, For you other traders out there who also scalp, I would love to know what setups you guys are using to find these stocks as they start moving up. Any and all help would be appreciated. Have been pulling my hair out trying to get these scanners set up with no luck.
